Can you help? Now is our opportunity to "be" the church and show the love of Christ to local communities in need. You, your family and our church can help!
We are collecting items for our Hoosier Families in need who have been ravaged by the recent tornados and flooding.
King of Glory will deliver the collected items to the Midwest Food Bank, our Indiana State Distribution Center: bottled water; canned fruits, vegetables, meats; macaronis & cheese; rice; beans; dry cereals. Personal Care Items too: gallon-size ziploc baggies; toilet tissue; paper towel; trash bags; toothbrushes & toothpaste; dental floss; shampoo; conditioner; deodorant; bar soap; body wash; wash cloths.
Please bring any of these items to church in the next three weeks and place them in the collection box in the Gathering Place. May God Bless His people for sharing His heart!!!
I never anticipated writing one of these Connex-tions articles, on this date, June 25, 2008, in the quiet of a town library in Sturgis, Michigan! But here I am. Why write it so much earlier than the date you are reading it? (July 5 or 6) Because of circumstances... good circumstances.
You see, I am with seven of our King of Glory kids at "Confirmation Camp" at Camp Lutherwald, near Howe, Indiana. The closest "big town" to our camp is Sturgis. I was looking for a nice quiet place to write in, and found the library. I have to finish this little essay before we get home from camp on Friday (June 27)
...that make the difference!
"Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me–put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you." Phil. 4:9
and go the next day with my family to the Smok-ies. I need to get it to Leslie June 27th so that she can print this while I am gone. Circumstances, you see, make me get this done "early," but I don't mind. In fact, I'm thankful. Thankful for a lot of things right now.
