The Life Development Process
There is nothing more exciting and fulfilling than the Christian adventure. Walking day by day with the God who loves and values us makes life worth living and keeps us going in the midst of the up times and the down times. As the world is discovering, fulfillment and contentment is not found in the assumed places -- career, money, or leisure. Ultimate fulfillment is found in a relationship with Jesus Christ, who died and rose again that we might have real life. We invite you to discover the contentment and fulfillment that only Christ can give by growing spiritually in the abundant life He promises. These exciting, stimulating, faith-inspiring, and relational series of seminars will expand your vision of God’s love for you, your place in His family, and the mission of King of Glory Church. They will give you practical tools for helping you grow in your faith, that you might become the person God created you to be. If you desire a deep, lasting fulfillment in life, if you are seeking to learn more about God’s love for you, if you are eager to tap into your God-given potential, and if you are serious about being a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, the Life Development Process is for you. Four seminars are designed to help you rediscover what it means to be a member of Christ’s Church; how to continue growing in your faith; discovering and developing your God given gifts to help others; and how to share your faith with others in meaningful ways.

101 Discovering Church Life
(KOG's New Member Orientation)
We believe that one of the first steps of Christian growth is making a commitment to the Lord of the Church and to the people who make up His Body within the community. Membership involves first having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; it also includes an agreement with our statement of faith, our mission or purpose for being the church, an understanding of our distinctive "Lutheran" teachings and our history, our dreams and philosophy of ministry. It also includes the process of developing personal relationships within the church. Thus members are invited to be "refreshed" in their understanding along with prospective new members so that relationships can be established. Membership involves more than just believing—it also includes belonging!
201 Discovering Spiritual Maturity
A great deal of emphasis is placed on developing spiritual habits within our church. It begins with making an ongoing commitment in your own heart to grow in faith. We cannot grow strong or mature without pursuing that lifelong commitment to "grow up in all aspects" in Christ. Maturity is determined by perspective, conviction, skills, character, as well as Biblical knowledge. A diligence to pursue maturity is essential to a growing relationship both with God and others.
301 Discovering My Ministry
Our church desires to create an atmosphere which facilitates genuine spiritual growth. Growth occurs as we understand what the Bible has to say, and as we learn to put it into practice. God created each of us for ministry in a unique way. He has given each of us spiritual gifts in our baptism, heartfelt passions, inborn abilities and talents, a distinctive personality or temperament, and life experiences specifically for us to use in serving Him. When it comes to ministry, your function flows out of the way God has "shaped" you. Ministry not only allows us to be a blessing to others, but it also benefits us in the character development process.
401 Discovering My Mission
Another crucial element in our growth process is the development of Great Commission "eyes." We want to develop "contagious" Christians who can effectively share the love of God in Christ Jesus through the development of relationships with those who are unchurched. We desire to help individuals become effective witnesses within all their "worlds" by learning to seize the windows of opportunity that come to us. The lack of an outward focus inhibits personal growth and the growth of the church. Therefore, King of Glory is committed to the fulfillment of the Great Commission and to having hands on involvement in both short and long term missions. This is the ongoing purpose of our church—"to be the heart, hands and voice of Christ" so that others in need can experience the love of God, and others who do not yet know, can be brought to Christ and grow in their faith.
